I baked some bread this week, using this recipe here. With midterms starting in less than a week, naturally, I spent my Saturday morning taking photos of said bread and sending the photos to my friends and family for them to pay me compliments. Classic.
It took quite a while – every time I completed a step I thought it would be time to bake, but no. Another 30 minutes here, 90 minutes there. Not so great for an impatient person. But when I put it in the oven, the smell was amazing, and surprisingly turned out gorgeous. Though not as fluffy as I would have liked (I think I had not-so-great yeast), it was absolutely delicious.
Nothing like carbs and butter to make me happy. 🙂
